About me

I discovered relatively early in my life that art — painting, drawing, writing, creating — is my communication channel, the place where I express myself most honestly. Back then, I didn't have the conditions to give my creativity that strong a visual space and develop it fully. My work consisted mainly of poems and smaller art projects. It was only a few years ago that I began expressing myself vividly and fully on canvas and paper. I've invested time in actively learning from other artists — and that's when things really started to move. Large-format canvases, 100x100cm and larger, have become my specialty.

I feel very deeply and intensely. I observe and absorb, I analyze and transform information into my art. I can see links and relations where most people do not. Sometimes I have a concept — a thought or a feeling caught in a moment; sometimes I feel colours in my mind that spill onto the canvas. My work is rooted in searching for beauty and happiness in small things — often in the shadow of loss, death and betrayal. My intention is to defeat numbness and monotony, to revive vitality, colour and movement where stagnation threatens.

I find inspiration in my own rich inner world and in life experiences that have shaped my view of both the fragility and strength of human existence. My work carries a quiet but unyielding revolt against rigid norms, oppression and the loss of sensitivity — an invitation to disrupt the status quo of our accelerated times and return to humanity, sensitivity and awareness. I'm drawn to the intimacy of human relationships as much as to the quiet beauty of nature, which I capture with both delicacy and texture. This runs through two ongoing bodies of work: the Oceanic series and the Planetary Boundary series.

I work primarily in acrylics; for 3D pieces I add texture media and metal leaf, and I also have experience with watercolour — and I'm not afraid of oils. My works are available mostly as originals, and I also release some as limited, high-quality fine art prints.

I feel an immensity and a boundlessness in my mind. The more I create, the more ideas come. The more I listen to myself, the more I uncover.
